Biography

Florian completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He gained initial research experience as a research assistant at the Institute of Biological and Medical Imaging at the Helmholtz Zentrum München and during his master’s thesis in the Medical Robotics and Automation Laboratory at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He joined the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich in August 2021 to pursue a PhD. Florian’s main research interests are medical robotics, machine learning, and medical imaging.
